ART 2026

Almost every year we showcase the wonderful art by Deep River (and surrounding area) artists. This year’s show is bursting at the seams—over 30 creatives have filled our walls and tables with colour, texture, and surprise. We asked artists to submit 3 pieces but we didn’t say how small they had to be—because I submitted 18. Yes, eighteen tiny, pocket-sized paintings: each one a tiny 2 × 3 inches. Tiny enough for a tiny space in your home or a tiny place of honour on your fridge… along with all the other artwork by your children and grandchildren.

Here are my masterpieces on my fridge - all 18 of them that will be displayed in ART 2026.

Here are some close-ups of my work.

The top ones are done with watercolours and gold foil (for a bit of sparkle). The loon on the left is in gouache and the one on the right is in watercolour.

These tiny vegetable paintings were done with gouache. Gouache is kinda like watercolour but very opaque and matte.

More tiny paintings done with gouache or watercolour.

Here is the poster for the show, so if you are in Deep River and want to see how creative this community is, check it out. It’s on from now till September 24th. I promise that my paintings are the only teeny tiny pieces you will see there - if you can find them. 😜
