Spa Day in April
My 70th birthday gift for April was another GREAT experience. (I really am racking them up!!!!) The Fab Five went to the Nordik Spa (on John’s dime 😜) and we stayed overnight in a quaint hotel in Chelsea.
We spent the day pampering ourselves in the hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas and salt rubs. Margaret was extra relaxed. We were all to meet at 4 in the front lobby. Four o’clock came and went and finally when Margaret hadn’t arrived, I had the staff try to find her. They never did. She was sound asleep on the top of one of the bunks. She did finally wake up to discover that it was already 4:30 and saw me waiting at the front tapping my foot. 🦶😜
After the spa we headed to the Fougères Art Gallery where I purchased this extra sweet family of mice in a nest done by a local fibre artist. What a lovely gallery it is. I say support local artists whenever you can.
I don’t mind these kind of mice in my house or cottage.
To cap the day off we walked to the Chelsea pub. It was busy for a Wednesday night but we did snag a table and I enjoyed the delicious fish and chips with a mug of Guinness Stout…and yes, I ate the whole thing!!!!
Great day. Great food. Great friends. I am one very lucky lady.
